Call for Proposals 2019A (Single Dish)

The Korean VLBI Network (KVN, https://radio.kasi.re.kr/kvn/main_kvn.php) invites scientific proposals for single dish observations for the 2019A season from Korean astronomical community. Observations of successful proposals will be scheduled between 15th January 2019 and 15th June 2019. Proposals should be emailed to kvnprop@kasi.re.kr before the deadline of UT 08:00 (KST 17:00) on 1st November 2018.

The Korean VLBI Network (KVN) is operated by Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI, https://www.kasi.re.kr/eng/index/). Its three 21m radio telescopes are located in Seoul, Ulsan and Jeju Island. Both spectral and continuum observation modes are supported. Available frequency bands are 22, 43, 86, and 129 GHz and simultaneous observation of the four frequency bands is also possible. For each KVN telescope, 300 hours of single dish observation time are available for this call. Therefore, total available time is about 900 hours.

Details of the information and current status of the KVN can be found at KVN VLBI Status Report.

Proposer should fill the KVN single dish application form the form ( Can be found at Single Dish tex ). Please carefully follow the instructions on the proposal form. A separate scientific and technical justification is mandatory. This Justification should be submitted together with the proposal form and not exceed 3 pages.
