The Korean VLBI Network (KVN, http://kvn.kasi.re.kr/) invites scientific proposals for single dish observations for the 2019B season from Korean astronomical community. Observations of successful proposals will be scheduled between 16th August 2019 and 15th January 2020. Proposals should be submitted to the KVN website (https://kvn.kasi.re.kr) before the deadline of UT 08:00 (KST 17:00) on 3rd June 2019. The Korean VLBI Network (KVN) is operated by Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI, http://www.kasi.re.kr). Its three 21m radio telescopes are located in Seoul, Ulsan and Jeju Island. Both spectral and continuum observation modes are supported. Available frequency bands are 22, 43, 86, and 129 GHz and simultaneous observation of the four frequency bands is also possible. For each KVN telescope, 300 hours of single dish observation time is available for this call. Therefore, total available time is about 900 hours. Details of the information and current status of the KVN can be found at https://radio.kasi.re.kr/kvn/status_report_2019/array.html. Proposer should fill the KVN single dish application form. Please carefully follow the instructions on the proposal form. A separate scientific and technical justification is mandatory. This Justification should be submitted together with the proposal form and not exceed 3 pages. Jongsoo Kim Director of Radio Astronomy Division, KASI |
