| =========================================== Call for Proposals 2026B (Single Dish) Proposal submission deadline: 2026 June 1, 09:00 UT KVN website: http://kvn.kasi.re.kr =========================================== The Korean VLBI Network (KVN) invites scientific proposals for single dish observations for the 2026B semester from Korean astronomical community. Observations of successful proposals will be scheduled between 2026 September 1 and 2027 January 15. Proposals should be submitted via the KVN website (http://kvn.kasi.re.kr) before the deadline of UT 09:00 (KST 18:00) on 2026 June 1. The Korean VLBI Network (KVN) is operated by Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI, http://www.kasi.re.kr). Its four 21m radio telescopes are located in Seoul, Ulsan, Jeju, and Pyeongchang. The system supports both spectral and continuum observing modes. For the Ulsan and Tamna telescopes, the observable frequency bands are K (18-26 GHz), Q (35-50 GHz), W (85-116 GHz), and D (125-142 GHz), allowing for simultaneous observations across all four frequency bands. The Yonsei and Pyeongchang telescopes are equipped with a Compact Triple-band Receiver (CTR), enabling observations in the K (18-26 GHz), Q (35-50 GHz), and W (80-116 GHz) bands, with simultaneous observations possible in four bands (K/Q/W-low & W-high). For each KVN telescope, 250 hours of single dish observation time is available for this call. Therefore, total available time for four KVN radio telescopes is about 1,000 hours. Proposers should use the KVN single dish application form and carefully follow the instructions on the KVN website. The scientific and technical justification must be provided within 3 pages. Details of the information and current status of the KVN can be found in the KVN status report on the KVN website (http://kvn.kasi.re.kr). Taehyun Jung Center for KVN(Korean VLBI Network), KASI |
